Ring of Fire “, the term refers to falling in love, which is what June Carter was experimenting with Johnny Cash at that time. Some sources claim that Carter had seen the phrase” Love is like a burning “ring of fire”, underlined in one of the books of Elizabethan poetry by his uncle AP Carter. He worked with Kilgore on writing a song inspired by this phrase as he had seen his uncle do in the past. She had written: “There is no way to be in that kind of hell, there is no way to extinguish a flame that burns, burns, burns”.

They have made more than 200 versions of the song, continuation cite some.

Johnny Cash – Ring Of Fire lyrics

[Verse 1]
Love is a burning thing
And it makes a fiery ring
Bound by wild desire
I fell in to a ring of fire
[Chorus]
I fell into a burning ring of fire
I went down, down, down
And the flames went higher
And it burns, burns, burns
The ring of fire
The ring of fire
I fell into a burning ring of fire
I went down, down, down
And the flames went higher
And it burns, burns, burns
The ring of fire
The ring of fire
[Verse 2]
The taste of love is sweet
When hearts like ours meet
I fell for you like a child
Oh, but the fire went wild
[Chorus]
I fell in to a burning ring of fire
I went down, down, down
And the flames went higher
And it burns, burns, burns
The ring of fire
The ring of fire
I fell into a burning ring of fire
I went down, down, down
And the flames went higher
And it burns, burns, burns
The ring of fire
The ring of fire
[Outro]
And it burns, burns, burns
The ring of fire
The ring of fire
The ring of fire
The ring of fire
The ring of fire
The ring…
