With the production of Tom Collins, the song was released on September 2, 1978, and on October 28, 1978, reached # 1 on the charts of US Hot Country Songs, for a week and staying a total of 12 weeks in the charts. And on November 18, 1978, it also reached at # 1 on the Canadian RPM Country Tracks charts. It was the eleventh number one in Ronnie Milsap’s career.
The song was included in the ninth studio album, Only One Love in My Life (RCA 1978), the album was released in mid-1978, reaching number # 3 of the US Top Country Albums charts, on July 29, 1978, remaining in the charts a total of 53 weeks. The album was certified gold in the USA.
