Buck Trent was born Charles Wilburn Trent on February 17, 1938, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He began performing on radio stations in his hometown at the age of 11, and went on to become a member of Bill Monroe’s Bluegrass Boys and Porter Wagoner’s «Wagon Masters» He also appeared on the Roy Clark Show and Hee Haw, and toured extensively throughout his career.
