Review by Miquel Batlle Garriga
Hey, buddies! More new music coming your way!
From Queensland, Australia, comes Mack Geiger, a 21-year-old guitarist, singer, and songwriter who grew up on a cattle ranch. After introducing himself with his debut EP, Walk a Straight Line, he now brings us his eagerly awaited debut album: Dying in This House.
Although we know Mack is Australian, all it takes is a listen to his music to imagine he comes straight from Texas. 🤠
His approach is deeply rooted in traditional country, showing that Australia still has plenty to contribute to this music.

The album brings together 12 tracks that recapture the sounds of the ’90s, with a generous dose of honky-tonk and new traditional country. These are unhurried songs to enjoy at your own pace: let yourself be carried along by the guitars, the melodies, and that classic country feeling we have missed so much.
Mack can also point to a major milestone: his Grand Ole Opry debut in June 2026. Meanwhile, his second single, “String By,” has surpassed 100 million global streams, a sign of the interest surrounding this first album.
With Dying in This House, Mack Geiger seems determined to show that traditional country has a voice of its own in Australia, too.
Here is “How Crazy Is That?”, a perfect choice for wearing out the dance floor with a good two-step. Enjoy!
Enjoy it & keep it country!
