Review by Rick Huff
Named for the show she hosts, Irish singer Kerry Fearon’s nine-song collection follows an impressive debut CD that snagged the AWA’s “Pure Country CD Of The Year” award. Her newest is a congenial mix of Country combo stylings with several using Western Swing, Country Swing and Boogie Swing tempos to move things along. One (“Chase Wild Horses”) also calls on Western imagery to convey the idea of sowing wild oats. Spoiler: She no longer seeks ’em or sows ’em.

Nice Swingers in the group include “When Bad Men Happen To Good Women,” “Maybe They’re Just Really Good Friends,” “Ford Econoline” (all Country Swing specifically) and “Take It All Out On You” (Boogie Swing). Of interest to many will be that she has chosen to cover the infrequently heard Bob Dylan song “To Ramona” as well.
Fearon’s vocal range allows her to sound youthfully innocent or sufficiently fiery as called upon. Good variety well executed. Recommended.
