Big Al Downing – Beer Drinkin’ People, a song written by Al Downing and Stephen Lemberg, was recorded by Big Al Downing for the Warner label, between March and April 1980, at Woodland Sound Studio, 1011 Woodland St., Nashville, TN, on it Recording session was also recorded, Bring it on home, Big Al Downing was accompanied in the recording session by: Pete Wade (guitar), Harold Bradley (guitar), James Capps (guitar), Ray Edenton (guitar), Lloyd Green (steel), Bob Moore (bass), Hayward Bishop (drums), Buddy Spicher (fiddle), Hargus Robbins (piano), Charlie McCoy (harmonica), Hurshel Wiginton and The Nashville Edition (background vocals). With Tony’s production Bongiovi and Lance Quinn, the song was released in May 1980.



The song was included in the first Big Al Downing studio album, Big Al Downing (Team 1982), the album reached # 22 on the charts of the US Top Country Albums.
